Location of connection in trunk for CD changer 1999 C320
concept is same. to aid in location proper FO lead, grab laser pointer and shine into either of the two LED lens at the head unit end. have someone look for light out the other end of the available/unused FO terminators in the rear. use the FO plug which lights up. see above photo for picture of power lead jack. plug is tiny, small black plug, black harness. your changer should be MC-3110, MC-3010, or MC-3198

in this order....moving to the next suggestion only if the preceding one
fails to recognize the changer. try #1 - pull the fuse to the radio. this serves to possibly reboot the radio and any internal memory. wait 10 mins (pulled that out of a hat). reinsert fuse. turn on head unit and see if that did the trick. try #2 - pull the radio and reach in and pull the power leads (or pull the chassis fuse from the back of the radio. wait 10 mins and reinsert and try powering on the head unit and test changer try #3 - pull the battery NEG lead and wait 10 mins. reattach. BE CLEAR that this may likely erase memory from your seats, mirrors, windows and moonroof. if so, you'll need to reset - less than 5 mins try #4 - let your dealer do it but hopefully they wont charge you because this is such a stupid, silly few seconds of first aid.
