I am trying to install an FM Modulator, but need to get it inline with the antenna connector to the headunit. Anyone have instructions of how to remove the headunit ?

Just curious,
Are you using the AUX input jack inside the glove box?
Some people don't know it is there.
The whole center wood comes out complete with the Comand unit and climate contol head bolted on from behind.
However, on a 2005 the antennea cables do not go to the head unit.
They go to the Audio Gateway control unit in the trunk.
It is in the L/R trunk well under the CD changer and Navi processor.
I wood be very careful about tapping into that specific antennea system.

Think the dealer is expensive? Do you know how much it costs to train a dealer tech? Or buy the required MB special tools to have on hand?
