94 E320 Coupe Antenna issue
I posted a few weeks ago for the MD/VA?DC guys to recommend a transmission repair joint. Through my internet searching and price comparisons I decided on Suburban Transmissions in Laurel MD. Good price for complete rebuilding of my trans. with original Merc. parts. including 50,000 mile warranty...Let's just say the car feels awesome..so much more power now.
BUT..I do have a problem. I needed a new battery which was installed. Picked up the car, punched my code in the stereo, got it working, but noticed that the antenna only now goes down when the car is turned off. It stays up even when the radio is switched off whiles the car is running. Any help in resolution? Two things I did not like about Surburban Transmissions: 1. Poor Communication. Promised to finish car in three days. Dropped it on Monday car was ready 8 days later. So additional rental fees on my tab. 2. The Antenna problem is something a good mech. should anticipate having had lots of experience with mercs. Of course my battery which was working great suddenly died..including the antenna problem, i suspect there are few guidelines they failed to follow. The transmission itself feels awesome...but it is the time wasting and nuances that just makes or breaks people. Hope someone can help with the antenna issue. Thanks in advance
