W124 Plug & Play Replacement Radio
Just a simple question looking for a simple answer: I have a 1992 300CE coupe with original radio. No CD and dead cassette. FM works great, antenna works great, 6 speakers (2 frnt, 2 door, 2 rear) work great.
Is there any after market radio with internal CD (like Alpine) that I could purchase and install myself using the factory plug ins with no wire splicing??

You might try looking for a Becker cd unit. Those'll give you the best change of being compatible with your wiring harness plug. You might also try Crutchfield for a plug adapter, but I'm not sure if they have one for a '92.

Try looking on ebay for OEM CD changer.

you can try www.crutchfield.com
they sometimes have a harness that will plug into the factory wires and then you can have any cd-changer installed in front. but if your car has an external amp mounted in the trunk then that's a totally different issue.

The only in dash cd units that can be truly plug and play in your car are the Becker BE4602 and Becker Monza.
I can supply the wiring kit to convert your two-piece radio to the conventional one-piece unit. Send me a pm or email at raye@perfectmarketaudio.com |

I bought a Becker Monza from Ray and have been really happy with it. Not only does it work well, it looks like it belongs.
