Hey Oz, that was a great thread. Quite technical though. Most of it went over my head but it answered some of my questions. Here's another: I found some really nice 6 1/2's, would they fit in my front doors without too much modification?
Thanks in advance! I want to see a thread with pictures of everyone's installs. I need an idea booster. Although, I am getting closer. I need to figure out a non-invasive way to put a pair of 10's in my car.

To change your front (or any) speakers from OEM, you might consider buying aftermarket speaker adaptors to make the conversion as painless as possible. You can buy them from these guys:

But the W202 adaptors are advertised as 165mm which would allow 6.5" speakers. I presume that the W203 adaptors would be very similar to the W202s. I am expecting my W202 adaptors in the post this week. Edit: The link below says that: Quote:

I appreciate that info, OZ! Do you think those are mandatory? I was hoping to avoid something like that. Also, I am not so good at currency conversion. Approx. what is L12.99 in USD? I plan to start the amp rack this week. I am still not sure what to do with the pair of 10's I have. First, I am going to make some temporary 1 CU FT boxes, see where they sound the best and go from there. Don't worry, I will take pictures and keep you posted.
Thanks again!
