In Dash CD Changer 96 E300
Any one familiar with any indash cd changers that would fit in my W210? I have the changer in trunk and it is a PIA to change music out side of the stuff in the cartrige. I have heard about the Nakamichi MB-X but not sure if it will fit in dash. and at $799 I want to be sure.

Changer Question
Hi shoe,
A changer in the trunk is a bit of a pain but the Nakamichi glove box units have a very bad history and I would suggest you keep clear of them. We service all of the Mercedes radios, changers, amplifiers, and navi units. Experience is what tells me the good and bad points of each and every make and model of units supplied from the factory. My suggestion is to deal with the inconvenience of the trunk mounted changer and enjoy the sounds that will come out of a more reliable piece of equipment. Thank you for using Mercedes Shop Forum. Thanks for the advice I will just leave the changer in the trunk. She really wants to have the abiity to chamge music on the fly so after talking to a local audio dealer that has sold me a couple of Alpine in dash units I think I will get her an in dash Alpine that has an I-pod interface and will control the trunk mounted changer and let her play what she wants. She can download all the music she wants onto the I-Pod then play it in the car. Again thanks for the info on the Nakamichi too bad their car audio is not of the quality of the home stuff.
