Doors unlock when I use remote start

I have a '97 E420 and had a Clifford alarm installed with remote start. Everything works great with one exception. When I remote start the car, the doors unlock. The alarm is still armed so it will be tripped if someone was to open the door, but this won't stop someone from grabbing something out of the car and running. There has to be a way to fix this issue. The alarm installer is not the best out there (I had to go in and fix some of his mistakes myself) and says that it is an issue with the factory alarm, and I have to talk to the dealer. The dealer won't touch anything that has an aftermarket alarm in it. Anyone have any experience with something like this?

yes,
the guy who installed ur remote start didnt install it properly. in order to override the factory alarm to start your car, he is using the door unlock wire to dis-arm the car. there is another wire that should be used to disarm and the doors should remain in whatever state they are when remote start is used.
go back and tell him u spoke to another shop and they told you to fix it ! happened to my lexus and i got that fixed when i went back and gave them hell. they fixed it
