Thumbs up

Do you have the 10 speaker system in there? I can't recall if they all came with it standard in the later years.

If so, you could have a bad amplifier, but I seem to recall those only feeding the door woofers.

The center fader may be dirty inside (i.e. spilled drink), disconnected, etc.

Did you just purchase this vehicle?

1480 becker

Bought the vehicle about a month ago. I know it has at least 6 speakers, front dash, front doors, and rear ledge. Are there any other fuses besides the fuse box?

I think it is suspicious that the antenna won't go up and the speakers don't work. We all know the antenna is triggered by a 12v signal from the radio to the antenna. The other thing is that the amplifiers are also turned on by a 12v signal otherwise they would be on all the time...It sounds to me like that 12v is missing..The question is whether this is a common 12v signal or is the antenna 12v trigger only sent to the antenna when the radio is on. Obviously to pull the radio and find that lead and discover whether there is a 12v signal transmitted to the amps and antenna when the radio is turned on. If not further ivestigative work is necessary. Not as simple as it seems at first. However the radio must be removed and voltage testing is necessary.

Sound Problem

Hi soonerfan007,

I would suspect the radio has a problem based on your information. The antenna and the amplifiers get their turn-on power from the radio. If you need me to verify the radio problem just send it to me.
