AC, horn speakers, radio, wipers......Arrrggg!
Are these 5 components linked somehow?
I've got this annoying speaker noise (i can hear engine shifting in a sqeaky kind of way thru them) that happens intermittently when the wiper are on. Additionally, at certain times, if I hit the horn, the blower motor will stop. I either have to wait and it will come on itself or I have to shut the AC off and then on again. My indy is backed up big time and I have no clue about anything under the dash. Any thoughts appreciated. BTW, 300SDl, 349K miles, standard Becker radio. No alterations that I know of.

Everytime I have ever seen issues like this it was a bad ground causing it.

I had trouble with bad grounds in my 115/300d. A local mechanic told me that MB is bad about having all ground wires come back to a common ground under the dash. If this ground screw/bolt come loose some grounds may work while others may not. I have never seen this Medusa nest of grounds so can't direct you to it but I understand it does exist.

I'll schedule and appoinment at another Indy shop and have htem look. I'm 6'4" tall and 245lbs. I can't be bending that much to get under the dash. Or console for that matter.
