Euro spec radio/antenna, no motorola bananna type plug?

So I need to replace my antenna and would like to keep my stock radio, whats the best way to go about this? The Becker is the warmest sounds solid state I have heard in years.

There is an antenna connector where the antenna comes through the fender. You don't have to run the wire all the way to the radio.

Oh, on most MBs you can replace the antenna mast. No need to remove the base of the antenna or take the trunk apart.

Go to the top of this page and select "Buy Parts", enter your car info. and select "accessory". Buying here supports this forum.

50bux is pretty pricey compared to $10 at pull a part for the whole kitten-kaboodle .

True. Power the $10 replacement on a bench so you can remove the mast and put it in your old antenna base.

Euro, y'all.

No power antenna, right? Antenna on RF fender? I just put a new stereo in my gray-market 1983 W123 300D, and the plug on the antenna lead was correct. It may have already been changed, though. Try Radio Shack for an adaptor??

Jay.

Well, if you knew where to get the whole thing for $10, why did you ask about where to get the mast. Did you think it would be cheaper? than $10?

Ok, I tried pulling out the antenna, all I have is a stub. Pulled real hard and it came out another 1/4 inch... What am I doing wrong?
