Please help....Fader problem has my car on the fritz....

Hello,
I am still having problems pertaining to my failed attempt at bypassing the becker fader for my 85 300SD.
Here is my original post....

Hi,
I recently did away with the becker fader in My 1985 300SD. Now I have the audio I want and the stereo works great.....
But,
Now my number 1 fuse( controls: parking/tail light right, warning buzzer, illumination; license plate, instrument, heater and ventilation controls, switches, electronic radio.) keeps blowing.
I have checked and rechecked dozens of times to no avail.
I am an electrician and am familiar with working on cars but I need help on this one.
Please be descriptive
Thanks

I recently undid what I had done but I am still unable to identify the illumination circuits/wires in the console.
Before I did the bypass, I had both of the front windows operable, but now, even after I removing my bypass I cannot get the passenger side window to work. The driver side is fine, but the rear drivers side window switch is the only one that is illuminated. I had to take my stereo all the way out as every time I connect it(even with the wires capped off from the bypass) the fuse blows. Please help me as I have to get my passenger side window down as I cannot get my A/C to turn on and I am sweating to death.
I beleive that all this mess started when the previous owner tried to install an aftermarket CD player and had it wired up to come on only when the headlights were turned on(with no constant power so you must re-input all of your settings). I had corrected that problem at first but when I bypassed the fader to use all four channels from Unit everything went to hell in a bucket.
I am a certified electrician but the electrics in cars have always left me like a deer in headlights.
Also,
The a/c supposedly works but I cannot get it to turn on. The fan did activate once with the accessory power on but quit once I started the car and I was not able to change the fan speed or active vents. And I have not been able to replicate this occurrence.
I am sure that I can fix these problems with some expert advice from this forum.
My car is wonderful but these problems are beginning to get old.
Thank you for any help.
Ernest D.

You may have grounded the illumination wire, on my '84 it was/is a pair of grey/violet wires. The same original 2 pole connector also had a pair of red/white wires that were always hot. The keyed 12V source was a pair of black/yellow/green leads, brown is ground, antenna is blue.

You might start by finding those grey/violet wires.

Multiple problems I suspect, windows are not connected to the radio.

good luck
