Arrow Total Stereo Upgrade for 2000 C230k

Ok, so I just got my 2000 C230k Sport back (see Performance Baddock; Steel Undercarriage for W202) and my stock stereo always cut out intermittently AND wouldn't read the CDChanger half the time. So I decided on the ultimage upgrade.

I'm getting 6 (all POLK) new speakers plus 2 tweeters (dash) a new Deck & CD player(SONY) with multiple aux inputs, Sirius Radio, a 700 (?) watt amp (4 channel (will be spliced/2 PLUS sub channel) ($600), and a single ($300) sub with enclosure. I am having it done by circuit city first thing in the morning. What do you all think? If my Mercedes had Bose, I would have done the same thing I did in the past, just bypass the stock amp with an additional amp and sub.

The sales guy told me it was his "dream system." He also told me the stock stereo probably wouldn't play properly, even with an adapter. What do you think?

(The new deck will have a single changer, so I won't be too upsest.)

Since you don't have Bose, I don't think you can go wrong with what you're doing. Good idea. If you have Bose, however, I feel the need to clarify that you do not have to bypass the stock amp to get it to work well with an aftermarket deck. I have aftermarket HU, stock Bose, and sub in the trunk and it sounds great. It sounded fine without the sub, but I wanted more bass so...

Sometimes, those "install" guy doesn't know half of the technical aspect of Mercedes Sound system.

They will tell you anything to impress you to have your entire system changed.

If you have time read the post I created...hopefully, it is not too late.
