Can I easily swap out 1999 Bose for a Blaupunkt Bahamas?

Gurus,
I have a 1999 C43 with Bose (no changer) and I was wondering if I could easily swap it out for a new Blaupunkt Bahamas while keeping the stock amp, speakers, etc.? Crutchfield shows a direct plug in harness for $29.99 which they claim eliminates the need for splicing, re-wiring, etc.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-vQTt0mf47s3/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&I=023BAHAMAS

My Bose has started to emit this dreadful audible tone that sounds like an alarm or something which has given me the excuse to get rid of it; it didn't sound that great (and didn't have a CD player) when it worked.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Alex

chances are that the bose amp is whats bad, to get the best sound quality out of any aftermarket deck would be to bypass the factory amp. imo, just by pass the amp and pick ur fav stereo.

cant do that since bose speakers are 2ohm and aftermarket deck runs 4ohm speakers.
