How do you remove this??

I'm in process of replacing the stereo in my 240D. I am going to bypass the orginal fader switch on the console. But I would like to get into the console to splice my wires. Any ideas?? I have tried to remove these on my 300D's and broke them in the process. I don't want to break this one.

How do you remove this??-centerdash.jpg

Maybe similar. In the 126 there are two screws under the ash tray. Remove and slide panel forward, then up.
