1979 240d Hirshman MANUAL Antenna

I have a replacement antenna for my car. It has a plug fixture at the end of the wire which is 6-8 feet long or so. Do I have to run this all the way back to the radio or is there typically a plug located in the trunk area.

There is a cable already run back to the trunk with a plug on it. You may have a problem finding a way to mate the plug on that manual antenna with the one in the car. Better off getting the right antenna (with a jack on it).
