Becker face plate

How do you put the face plate back on?? Radio worked before now it is all black, but I can mash the face plate and it will power up....I know, it's me not the radio!

What's the trick to putting it back on??

Had to go outside and get the face plate to read it and in my office under good light I could see how to snap it back on....bad light and old eyes!

So I go back out and while putting it back on the A/C button wood plate popped off...no biggie. Got the Radio face back on and she works again ( well sorta, still sounds like crap)! Pop the wood back on and she goes dead again....the wood is touch proud on the right side and seems to disconnect the radio.

I'm thinking I got a wood problem, not a radio problem now! Reckon I'll do a bit of fine sanding tomorrow.

O my 85 with the 612 radio there was a screw on one side of the face plate. The radio was removed by pulling the ash tray and then lowering two catches, I just dont remember but i dont think it needed code, I had a bad display and the face plate is replaceable
