Blow the fuse? The fuse in the fuse box that controls the radio is not blown. Is there another fuse??

There is a 10Amp fuse on the back of the head unit.
Use this link for a picture of it. http://sm.crutchfield.com/S-mITo2UpyGQ6/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&tab=morephotos&pi=6&i=158GT300&display=XL#Tab |

If you do the rewire, you do not need to replace the speakers. I ran stock speakers in my wagon for a month or two. Just bear in mind that they do not carry bass, nor do they carry geat highs... You need to look for an aftermarket source in order to find that good, clean sound.

Radio is in and working!!! I bypassed the fader switch. Now to get a new antenna mast and see if it goes up and down. I can hear rhe motor on the up cycle buy not on the down cycle.

Glad to see you got it working. I hope the sound of the new head unit was worth the hassle of bypassing the fader. Did you blow the fuse on the head unit?

No blown fuse. The only concern I have is that I can hear the antenna activate on the up cycle, but not on the down cycle. I do not have a mast in the unit as the old one was toast and I removed it.
