95 300E Deisel Help!

Alright, I have been lurking for awhile and still have not found my answer. I have though found quite nice info on the engine. I have inherited this car from my father (i love this car ), but I am tired of the crappy quality my ipod on f.m mod is giving me. I know that when he bought the car new he opted for the premium sound . I have been told by numours yahoo's at stereo shop's that the could "proboly" install a radio in it....I don't like that word "proboly". What can I do...I love the sound that The stereo give's but I want cd and or mp3 cd. I can get the radio out but have yet to find a wiring harness. Please help....much appricated.

Call up and talk to Ed Ebel at Becker,

He can hook you up with a newer replacement radio/cd player with MP3 inputs designed for your car. Drop in plug and play. Then you can get better speakers designed for the W124's if you like.

To save a few $$, sometimes they have factory refurbished stuff.

I think mine is a BE4602

Another option is to buy an adapter plug and use an aftermarket radio. With the adapter, the factory wiring harness does not get hacked.

I would recommend replacing at least the front dash speakers. I went with the rainbow audio speakers designed for the W124.

In my car I'm running a Kenwood CD player (with Sat Radio, HD radio and Aux in) and rainbow audio speakers. Took about 1 hour to install the radio and speakers myself.

I bought the speakers from this website:

I bought the harness from this guy, but found out afterwards that you can find this harness for much less. Apparently it is a VW part but you have to move one pin. Crutchfield might sell them.

I bought the radio removal tools from this guy:
