Bad Bose Amp? 94 SL500

Hi...I'm having an issue with my Bose system on my '94 SL500. I'm suspecting the amp has gone bad. The head unit turns on fine and I can control the tape, CD and radio functions but I'm not getting any sound. In the beginning it would work intermittently but now there's no sound at all. I also noticed the power antenna doesn't work when the radio (tuner) is turned on. Does the amp control the power antenna? I've ordered the radio removal key from the dealer and they should be arriving any day now. I'll first check to see if any connections has been disconnected behind the head unit. If all connections are in tact could it possibly be the amp being the problem? If any one has any ideas or advise I would appreciate it. Can these amps be rebuild? Thanks.

Been there done that. Same issue. It wasn't the amp. Check the speakers on both sides. The design of the doors allows water to collect in the speakers and ruins them. When you install new ones, make sure you drill a small hole at the bottom of each speaker housing so the water can drain out. I went with the factory speakers because unless you can buy 2 ohm speakers it's just easier to use the ones designed for the car.

I have the same issue. My 94 SL500 Radio only lets me listen to the front right speaker.
the antenna was stuck in the up positon for the past 12 months but now it's stuck in the bottom position. I'd love to know who or where I can have it repaired in Los Angeles.
I'm not ready to go to the local dealer. can any one or you have an answer.

thanks much
