Wierd Noises

Hi milad,
Sounds like you have the amplifier going bad. It should be located in the trunk area drivers side against the back seat area. I can repair it. Let me know.

milad please check if yours is equipt with a bose system, cause for the year model and series, it does not come standard with an amp, just plain head unit powered internally by the head unit. and what kind of sound are you referring to, to be able to get an specific solution/suggestion, kindly provide a more accurate account of facts, so the more competent tech guys in this forum may be able to help you and may also save you on cost.

Sound Problems

Hi Cool,
I'm not sure but did you insult me? The 400SE 1992 should have a two piece BE1432 head unit and a BE1532 tuner unit in the trunk along with the 7 channel Bose amplifer above the left rear tire in the trunk. The 1990-91 cars had BE1480 units & 1992-93 had BE1432 units. The 1480 units didn't always have an amplifier with them but the 1432 units all did have amplifiers. So, I can only again say that the description sounds like an amplifier or a tuner pack problem. I guess 36 years of doing car radio repair allows me to say so.

Sound Problems

Hi milad,
I would suggest that you send me both the radio and the amp so I can fully test them for any problems. Better to have them checked and cleared of any possible problems. If they check out good then we will need to look at things differently. Let me know.

Hi cleeve, if i wanted to insult you I would do it upfront, the message was ment for milad and I never care about your suggestion, I am only aiming at how to help milad with his problem and wishing milad to enjoy his ride and sounds, I only get my info from the WIS, I am an MB dealer. Do you really know how many options came with that model? (for Cleeve) For me I rely on the MB WIS its the most accurate information from the manufacturer themselvses.

Sound Problems

Hi Milad,
Your problem is most likely the Tuner box in the rear trunk near the antenna. It is the other half of the radio system. Let me know what you would like to do.
