Had this same issue with my 95 E420 now same thing on my 95 SL500. Radio works fine except when adjusting volume. If I turn volume knob down volume increases and vice versa. Example: I want to turn down the volume, so I turn knob and volume increases until a certain point while turning then finally adjusts down. Same thing if volume too low.

Anyone else experience this? Seems strange I have had this on 2 different cars.
