Becker 780, press on relay just clicks?
I thought this was due tot he security system but apparently it is not. Any suggestions as what to look at?

Does the display come up as CODE?

Yup. I have a 1480 if you're interested, they come in the '90-91 cars.

At this point I have been through 3 of them, even the one in my daily driver has a short in it. If I can't find anything this weekend I am going to go aftermarket and get something nice.

Aftermarket is really the best idea, the FM tuning ability, CD, better internal amp, etc... are all very welcome!
