Hirschman Antenna Repair How-To
 

HI, my salvage-yard antenna from the '87 300E has a shorter mast than the one on my '86 420SEL. Can anyone give a link to a how-to for taking the mast and associated parts out and swapping them? I might have to buy a longer mast, maybe not, but everything external seems identical except the metal mast housing.
Meanwhile, the sunroof repair has gone better than expected: the headlining loosening, the part I dreaded most, went perfect, and I got the old guide tube out without any trouble. I have 5 days off now, to get the thing reassembled.
