2000 e320 No power to head unit

I purchased a Becker 2662 CD changer for my E320 4matic Wagon. I was in the process of installing it when I somehow lost power to the head unit, no codes, just zero pwr. I assume it has to do with the fiber optic, as all the fuses are good. I did disconnect the battery for a few hours thinking the amp might need a reset, but upon reconnection, there was no change. Is there a trick to this or do I have to take it to the dealer to get reset? At this point I would like at least the head unit to work. I remember having an issue with my 92 500SEL that required the amp to reset when the battery was disconnected but its been years and I have forgotten all the details. Any help is appreciated

Thx, Chris

i could be wrong, chris, but i doubt that fiber optic is your problem. i have a 99
E320 and share the same D2B FO system. the FO is used for audio connectivity
and conveys no power of any sort. all the connections inbound to the head unit
come via way of the junction block connectors on the back side....over to the
left (as you look at the front panel). the FO is used for phone and changer via
the orange twin lead.

did you check the blade fuse right next to the junction blocks as well (....and
not just the one under the hood, the left end of dash, and under rear seat)?

I checked the fuses under the seat and the fuse box under the hood and all seemed ok. The radio was on and working when I was trying to install the CD changer it was during that process it lost its power.
