component speaker systems 4 by 6....?
I really, really don't want to cut the rear deck on my car.
The plan is to ship my Becker Europa off later this week and add the accessory jack in the front as well as some rehab. I'm rather fond of JL Audio products, but alas, they apparently do not make a 4 by 6. Polk does, and the MMC460 looks like the ticket. Anyone have these in any larger sedan application? How do they sound, how have they held up? Then I can add a couple of tweeters either in the dummy grill on the dash, or down where the stock speakers are in the front. I'm not as worried about those. I'm not looking to bump, my daily driver does that just fine. I'd just like to have really nice sound quality in my car and enjoy my Ipod - while keeping everything stock appearing. Ann

you could try a 4x6 to 4 round adapter, not sure if there much more in the way of comps in those sizes though.

ADS made or makes a very nice set of 4' component speakers that sound very good. They are available on Ebay all the time for not much money compared to what they cost new. New ($350) Used maybe $75 to $150 on Ebay.
