I finally removed the cheesy after market cassette radio that the previous owner hacked into my benz (1987 260E). Upon removing the radio I notice that the originally Becker Style connector is not even there. The previous installer had cut it off and replaced it with an after market connector so it will fit his aftermarket radio. I want to put in an MP3 player but have no idea what each of the wires mean? Some wires have a stripe of a different color running through them. Could some kind person(s) please point me to documents indicating which wires goes to which speaker ? or antenna? etc? Thanks.

You might search in the Audio forum. You might also search for the adapter harness that it would use normally and sometimes there are charts for those and I imagine the colors should match.
