Question 93 500SEL Bose Amp????

I was wondering if anyone had any diagrams available for the main circuit board in my bose amp, have gone through the entire amp and there are a couple of resistors burnt on the main board but they burnt bad enough I cannot tell what they were exactly to replace them? Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. I know you can send it away and have it refurbished but I kind of enjoy the challenge doing these things myself. BTW the amp part number is 140 820 00 89.

The infamous Bose, issues were the electrolytics, drying out and shorting or blowing. The shop where I had mine rebuilt showed me boards the had blown the foil. There might be service information, I have not heard of any. You might have to send it out, I got a 2 year warranty, they serviced the tuner at the same time for good luck!

Amplifier Problem

Hi holdemhickey,
The pictures you sent me show the part numbers you identified as CF5 & 6. Those parts are just jumpers on the board. The parts with simular numbers are Capacitor Filters with 3 legs on them. If you notice you have just two connections on the bottom being used for the ones you mentioned. I hope that this helps you in some way. Those wires are not the problem you have with that amplifier.

Thank you, for looking at this for me Cleeve. I think I am just going to send the amp out to you guys and let you fix it. I thought maybe because those were definitely cooked it would be a simple fix. I really do appreciate you taking the time to try and help. I downloaded the form from your site, I will fill it out and send it right out. Thanx again.
