W123 dash and Infinity 4012i compatibility

I have my eyes on a set of Infinity 4012i speakers for the dash, and unfortunately, can't get any information regarding the installed height of the speakers. Can anyone confirm that these will clear the underside of the dash speaker grilles? All of the other dimensions are a go, and I don't want to find out the hard way that they won't fit.

I just put a set of Kenwood 4" speakers in my 240D's dash (model KFC-1061S) and managed to get them in without any real problems (just had to drill a couple of new holes). Not sure how they compare to your Infinitys, but a quick comparison of the specs might give a clue.

Good luck.

Thank you, that's a sound idea. Unfortunately, Infinity doesn't seem to feel listing anything more than mounting depth and diameter is important. Kenwood, on the other hand, I've found has always been great about providing a chart with complete dimensions, including height of the speaker above the mounting flange. (At least they used to a few years ago when I installed a few of them.)

I guess I'm still on the hunt for someone who can verify the fit for me, unless I can find a set of these in stock locally that I can measure. It's a discontinued model, so it might not be easy to accomplish that.
