radio removal

help,i need to know how to remove radio,tried to remove ash tray after removing 2 screws but frame will not pull out dont want to break it,thanks for any help on this one,1989 300se.

car? Becker unit? More info would help....I remember reading a similar thread about this a week or so ago, can't remember who started it. Searching should turn up plenty....but mine just slid out (held in by friction, as others have mentioned).

I have no idea if they are similar....but here's the thread I mentioned. Funola just went through this on his 240d

How do I remove the radio?
