Hirschmann Antenna Adapter? 1992 300D

Im wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket CD player in a w124 and used the factory antenna? Does an adaptor exist?

Adaptor for what?

I just swapped an aftermarket head unit into my 1993 300E today. It was a substantial amount of work to replace the Mercedes Becker 1432 two piece radio with a single head unit.

In U.S. spec cars - I can't vouch for other markets - the antenna lead terminates at the tuner/amp behind the lining on the right side of the trunk. For less than $10 an antenna lead extension can be purchased to run up to the head unit in the car. The real work is running the silly wire into the passenger area of the car, under the carpet, etc.

Any modern head unit can make the antenna go up & down. It's the single blue wire attached to the original head unit. Blue seems to be something of a defacto standard for the antenna up/down trigger.
