2002 c240 cd changer
 

I bought a cd changer for my 2002 c240 the part #is mc3010 my mechanic said it couldn't connect to my wiring. Is there an adapter that can allow the cd changer to be plugged in thanks

is your mechanic a dealer?
 

I'm not sure of the right part number, but I can tell you that no one other than a MB dealer will be able to install the changer. This, at least, is my understanding. I bought a changer for my 2002 C320 a few years ago and realized that I need to take apart quite a bit of the glovebox and nearby panels to get to the factory wiring and I was scared away by that. I later learned that a computer is needed to 'teach' the head unit to accept the changer anyway and only dealers have that computer, so even if I were able to physcially install and connect everything it still wouldn't work. They could have been lying to me, but I think its true.

I read that it is quite easy on the E320. Wouldn't it be the same for a C240?
