I would like to pull the radio out of my 560SEL to clean the speaker contacts. I removed the ash tray assembly, and I can see some clips underneath the radio.
How can I pull the radio forward and reach the connections without using any special MB tool? If anybody has a diagram or digital photo it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Mine just came out
My Becker GP just came right out. I took the carpet panel off the left side of the passenger foot-area, and unscrewed a little screw in the side of the unit (i don't know if it even did anything or not). I then just reached behind it, and pushed it out. It didn't seem to be attached in there at all. I suspect it had been taken out before considering there were holes cut in my rear deck to mount free-air subwoofers when i bought the car. This probably doesn't apply to your situation, but I thought I'd share.
