Rewiring a w126

I'm trying to install a new headunit on my 88 300 SEL. I am planning on bypassing the fader and stock amps by running 8 wires from the new HU to the wiring leading from the amps behind the back seat. I have read many posts on how to do this. It seems the most common ways are either to go along the sides under the door sills behind kick panels and then toward the center console or to go under the front seats and up toward the console. Both of those look to be pretty simple to do, but what I can't figure out is how to get my wires to the back of the radio. What do I need to take off to open a path back there?

I used a fish tape when I did mine. I took off the driver and passanger side kick panels under the steering wheel and glove box and stuck the tape through there. It might take some trying but it will work. After that it was down the side and under the sill plates, up the back seat and into the trunk where i connected everything from the bottom. Let me know if you have any questions?

Eric, do you have any family in Avon Lake, OH. One of my good buddies is Tim Zacharias. His parents are Gregg and Sandy. Any relation?
