Mounting the MC 1030 CD Changer in a 2002 E320 Sedan

I purchased an MC 1030 Mercedes CD Changer for my 2002 E320 Sedan. I hooked up the cables to the unit and it works. Now I need to mount the unit in the trunk. Can anyone tell me where the CD changer gets mounted? I would assume the installation goes into metal, not the fabric liner. Are there mounting screw holes in the trunk somewhere? Does the unit get mounted at the top of the trunk...?

Confused.

Can't help you with mounting screw holes since mine came with the changer already installed, but the unit is mounted on the inboard side of the left well in the trunk, at the front end. The top of the changer is flush with the trunk floor.

Thanks, Beevly. Are you saying the changer is mounted 'upside down' – the top of the changer is flush with the trunk bottom?

That's how mine is on my W210, yes.

There's a Star Bulletin detailing the installation of the telephone and CD changer, I found it in the table at http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/phone_bulletins.htm

Sorry, I wasn't very clear on that. The bottom of the changer goes down into the well, leaving the top of the changer (the bit that opens) flush with the panel that covers the spare tire well.
