Is COMAND head on 08' ML350 double-din ?

Please help.
I bought a bare bone ML with COMAND head, but no Navi, no phone. I'm thinking of replace it with an aftermarket head, i.e. Pioneer Avic Z2/ or the like.....
Anyone knows its opening is double-din size or not ?

A small aftermarket headunit is 1 din a larger unit is 2 din. if the factory is like 4 inches tall than it is a 2 din. you will most likely have to buy an adapter face plate to cover the edges of the headunit.
