1984 300D Turbo Radio broken, where to get a replacement?

My radio broke. I was going to just go to the local Circuit City and buy a new radio, but they would have to rewire the whole thing, about $140 not including the actual radio. Does anyone know where I could buy a new radio that fits, or if there is a cheaper way to do this?

Yeah. Buy a radio. Wire it yourself. It's really not that hard.

Besides the cost, I'd be afraid of having Circuit City "professionals" rewiring MY car! There's a pretty good book that covers nearly every aspect of car audio installation called Car Stereo Cookbook. That should be a big help.

Thanks!

Also, my radio doesn't even turn on. Im not really sure, now that i think about it, that the problem is my radio- is it possible that it is my car? Is there any way to tell?
