I think I'd destroy a paper mache sub box.

Ceramic would be very heavy

I have no idea when the stuff from crutchfield will arrive.. maybe Friday?

How about a Carbon fiber sub box, then it could be molded and everything.
I have a 1200W amp running a 15" audiobahn 1500W RMS speaker with 4 gauge cables. I NEED to upgrade my alternator, would an 80 amp suffice or should I go with the 120A range? Because I am having to charge it everynight to keep it starting . or even worse running without my sound .

oh yeah 6x8" in the front 6x9" in the back powered by radio head unit.
It all sounds great when it is working properly, oh yeah and great foam sealing most of the gaps in the trunk lid and dynamat over the whole trunk lid too, no rattles, just boom.

Unhook your rear speakers....

They distort your sound field.

I have gone 4 channel now.

I can tell a difference in quality.

I can now control front to rear and left to right. While I was in there I also converted all of my past wiring(twist on connectors) to all barrel type, looks a lot cleaner now. If I wanted to cut out the rears I would need some better speakers up front and maybe some tweeters. We shall see.

your headunit might also have built in crossovers so you can take away the bass and lower mids to your front speakers. see if it does then you could regain your sound field.

try holding the button in that takes you to the place where you can control the mids and highs, it might take you to the crossover menu. also try it once your in the mids and highs menu.

I'll do that. But I need to find a constant source of 12 volts for the memory setting. It wouldn't hurt to just tap into the positive terminal of the battery, would it?
