Becker Grand Prix Radio problems-please help!!!
Hello, I purchased a 1992 300E that had caught fire under the hood on drivers side of engine. The fire followed the drive train to the fuel pumps, burning everything as it went, then came out and up the passenger side burning both doors and all that was on the exterior of the doors. I fixed everything and am now driving the car. However, there is still some bugs. The radio, for instance, turns on and I here a thump as power goes to speakers but after that, all that is happening is "WH 1" is flashing on the screen. It is a Grand Prix BE 1432 radio. Serial# C9704376, bar code sticker reads 1432AS3C9704376. I received no information about the car when I bought it. Could someone tell me how to get the radio to work? I don't know the procedure to use the code even if I had it. Also, on the instrument panel, one of the warning lights has a circle with three dashes on each side of it. I have no idea what this indicates but it is flashing constantly. Can someone help me with this also? I use the forum often and it has helped me tremendously. I try to search and find my answers but often I am not very successful at that. I looked in some of the threads and found some stuff but nothing specific to help me. I really would appreciate it if you could help me.

thanks chad. I was hoping someone could give me the code without having to dish out the thirty bucks to get it from Becker. I did find out what the flashing WH1 was. It means the radio is in "wait" mode because the wrong code was entered. Becker said to leave ignition on for 24hrs. so radio will clear itself. But after that you need the correct code or you're back to square one.
I appreciate your response. 190e2 |
