New battery, radio question

I just got a new battery via MB Roadside Assistance yesterday after getting 9 years out of the original (1999 ML430) :-0 For those interested, I live in the Northern VA/Wash DC area and my total cost was $174 and change.

After the battery change, when I shut off the car the radio stays on and I have to turn it off manually. Before the change, the radio would shut off when the ignition was shut off. What gives? How can I change it back so the radio will shut down automatically? BTW, Fuse #10 has not blown. Thanks for any suggestions.

Working as designed.

9 years on original battery I take it you have a 1999 MY truck.

After you shut off the engine, the radio will continue to play for a specific time period (15 to 20 minutes? IIRC) if you do not exit the vehicle. Once you open the front door, the timer stops and the radio should quit playing.

Not just the radio, the power windows also would have power after you shut down the engine until it times out unless you open the front door in that time period.

Don't know if you can change that option in the AAM or not for a 99'.

No, the radio used to shut off with the ignition. Then when the key was removed you could power back on the radio or work the windows for about 5 minutes or until you opened the door. Now, the radio stays on after the ignition has been shut off, key removed and even if you open the drivers door to exit the vehicle. Definately not working as it used to previously.
