Becker Kurier Cassette
I am looking to get the original radio for my 84 300D Euro. It is almost the same as the model 599. I think the Kurier model number is 663, does anyone know what the Kurier means. I attached a picture of what the radio looks like, any info would be helpful. I have e mail Becker and got a little info from them.

"Kurier" is probably German for "courier," so it's just a name for that model. The radio in your picture looks much too old for a 1984 model Mercedes.

That's one of those cool shortwave radios. They pop up on ebay every once in awhile. I'd do a search there for w123 or 300D radio.

The longwave band does us no good in the States (nothing to listen to on those frequencies here) and the shortwave section covers only the 49 meter band but it's nice anyway. At least the FM section is stereo.
