Replace original head unit in Kompressor Sport Coupe

Hi everyone, how I could replace the head unit in the 2002 Kompressor Sport Coupe? Do I need to buy any adapter in order to fit the aftermarket CD player nicely? After the changes, does the volume control buttons on the steering wheel continue to function?
