now lets see a video of the sub with no gain control increase. My sub sounds like that in the trunk with no turning up of the gain.

Mine does sound good, I dont have my system turned up most of the time. I usually only have the subs hit sort of hard, depends on what i am listening to. I have a quality system and it looks good to. I will try to get some pics up over the next couple of days.

I look forward to driving my car so I can hear the stereo...

I have dumped a good deal of money into my stereo, but I am pleased with it. It gets complimented whenever someone rides in it.

Problem is that I am always fiddling with the damn thing.

If I put a sub in mine, that's my only interest, sound quality, greater dynamic range. The place you mentioned in another post had such great prices, I am now thinking maybe I will go ahead and put in a sub, too.

Its hard for a 3" or 4" speaker to hit the lows that a subwoofer can hit. Its as its adds depth to the music you would not normally get with just having speakers.

Were you thinking about one of those Infinity Basslink Systems?

Yeah. It seems less obtrussive and probably simpler for me to put in. It also seems like it might fit more places that a big box would. I'm not sure if it would fit under the front seats in my SEC, but maybe.

I'm pretty happy with my 10" sub in the wagon. I have to keep the rear speakers faded almost completely out or the sound quality from the back is poor. The sub fills out the sound beautifully. Nothing buzzes either now that I put foam tape on the back of my license plate.
