w124 ;Can't remove the door sill strips

Trying to run new wiring aft, along the outside of the cabin, you simply pry up the plastic sills to get at the edge of the carpet. But they won't budge, and I am near the breaking/bending point. Any tricks to this?

I'd like to know, too. I'm trying to do the same thing on my SEC and don't know how these sill strips are attached. It's seems stuck down very firmly.

It's easy when you know how. They popped right out, but I'm always paranoid about breaking stuff, especially plastic parts. The number of interior pieces I need for this car is growing by the day.

pry them upwards from the interior side, not the outside. i broke a piece off prying up from the interior side

there is a metal clip that sits inside the vertical portion of the door sill. it clips on very firmly to where the seams meet from the rocker panel to the interior tub:

so its a very firm metal-to-metal fit. but again, just keep prying upwards little by littl all along the sill. itll come off eventually.

Any with blue interiors? Of course, I don't think the color matters too much. I can fix that.

So far:

1. Broken rear window brake light housing.
2. Visor clips.
3. Various plastic seat belt covers (don't know the technical name for these things that go around the seats and the presenters to cover them.
4. The little tabs or caps that screw into the rear brake light covers in the trunk to hold them on.
5. I'm sure there are more things, but the escape me at the moment . .

Thanks

I have pulled them out of a 1989 300e, but on this car (1995) they are not moving. I will try again. Thanks.
