CD changer

I just bought a 1995 E420 2wks ago,
and after reading the radio manual
I've learned that it is cd changer ready.
Does anybody know where to mount and
connect the unit? I appreciate all the
help I can get.Thanks.

If the '95 E420 is like the '95 E320, it is behind the trunk liner on the passenger side. You will need a CD-Changer, of course, and an adapter. I used an Alpine CHM-S620 and an MBZALP9 adapter from Peripherral Electronics. There are other adapter manufacturers as well (PIE comes to mind and I'm sure the folks at Crutchfield will have some suggestions as well). The MB connectors are very expensive (considering what they are). Installation was pretty much plug and play; no compatibility problems; and the unit responds properly to the commands from the unit in the dash.

Hope this helps.

Blitzsafe has an adapter too. This is an easy one unlike 91-93 were you need umpteen connectors
