6000EL synch/adjust?

Ok, got a new board on Fleabay for $17 including shipping and now the antenna goes up and down from the radio just as it should EXCEPT:

After the antenna is fully extended the motor still runs for about 3-4 seconds and I hear the wheels clicking in the case. I'm afraid if it keeps doing this I'm going to have broken teeth on the wheels.

When the antenna retracts, it goes all the way down smoothly and quietly and stops as it should.

Can anyone please help me, tell me what needs to be done to correct the UP problem?

Thank you.

Motor Loose???

I just got the second board, antenna still does the same thing - comes all the way down smoothly and stops as it should. But on the way up, after fully extending, the motor keeps running and I hear clicking because the gear wheels are still turning against resistance because they should be stopped. I don't want to end up breaking the gear wheels. Since this is the second board, it makes me think it is not the board, it is something about how the motor inside the case is working.

I noticed that there is nothing holding the motor assembly tight inside the case. After the antenna goes up fuly or down fully, the whole assembly (motor, gear wheels, etc) shifts up or down about 1/4". Nothing is holding it tight in the case but I don't see any way to secure it. Maybe I forgot something when I put it back together after cleaning out all the crud and lubricating the wheels?

How is the motor assembly secured in the case, or does it just stay in by the antenna rod and the case face plate? Any help greatly appreciated.
