W140 92 500SEL- Need help: New complete audio system
 

Folks,
I've just ordered the Kenwood KVT910 and the DV-2100 :D and need forum help with the following:
1. Can the head unit still drive the existing amps/speakers? Is there a wiring diagram somewhere for this?
2. I'm told the speakers are set at 1.5ohm and driven individually with their own amps. Is this true? If so, has anyone removed the Bose amps and tied the speakers in series (i.e. to produce 4.5ohms) and replace the amps with aftermarket?
3. Any suggestions? I'm really looking for a replacement audio system that (perhaps for lack of better words ) produces about 20% better and cleaner power... not to mention all the gizmo's associated with the nav system and the touch screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, upon completion I will have a factory system available for sale.
