C300 Rear Speakers?
I recently bought a C300 and it doesn't come with speakers behind the rear headrests! Is that normal? Wtf makes a car with no rear speakers?? I was told by my salesperson at MB that the rear speakers are in the rear doors. How does someone listen to a radio that's by their legs??? Someone please tell me if this is true or if I'm being jerked!!

Does the stereo sound good? Speaker placement doesn't really matter, as long as it sounds good to you...

maybe that was the best location to produce a good soundstage in the car. There was most likely a option for a better stereo and that includes the rear deck speakers.

Yeah, I think that's what really matters. It seems like the best place to put rear speakers would be in the section between the rear window and the rear side windows, but I don't think anybody makes a speaker that shallow. Maybe if you have a component speaker system, you could put the tweeters in this spot and the mids in the rear shelf.

I'm a tall guy, so I have to move the seat all the way back, then lean it back pretty far. This means that when I drive my 09 c300, people can see my head in the read window. From that perspective all of my sound seems to come from the front. I am thinking of taking my car to a audio specialist, installing 2 speakers in the back, and adding some sub woofers for some base. I find this lame, but it still sounds better than my previous car.
