Becker 1432 Setup
I'm trying to replace an aftermarket radio with the original Becker 1432, but i cant figure out how to connect it because all of the connections were replaced with new ones for the CD player that was installed (which never worked right). Can anyone help me?
Thanks |

Problem with that setup is you get to deal with the tuner box in the trunk and the factory amps to wire around.
My 1991 car is like this, so I said screw it and left it stock. Basically you're going to have to bypass the fader, the amps, add an antenna from what I can remember (never looked into triggering the late one as it's different), then run new wires to the speakers.

You're going to need the factory wiring diagram to achieve this, for sure. But my first thought was why bother? There isn't much love lost for the 1432 around here. When the 1432 went out in my car a few years ago I replaced it with a $125 Sony tha has better reception, plays CDs, has an iPod dock, has a USB input for a memory stick, and has a better amplifier section than the 1432. Unless it's a show car and originality counts, I just don't see the point.
