Smile Becker BE 612 circuit diagram?

Has anybody got the circuit diagram of a becker BE 612 radio? Mine is broken and a circuit diagram would give me a chance to debug it relatively quickly.. I want to restore a 300 SD in already good shape and would hate to lose the radio... Thanks...

Doubt a schematic is available to the general public. beckerautosound.com will fix it, (for a fee - I'd hate to think how much), or if you are in Southern California, I can recommend a good shop that will fix it.

I'm looking to replace my 612 because it doesn't have left/right balance capability. However, I'll probably keep the old 612 just so I can keep the car stock if I ever choose to revert back.

Circuit diagrams came with the manual?

The circuit diagrams came with the manual at least in Germany! I am not sure weather they included them in the US. Therefore, there should be lots of them floating arround.. Thanks... It is only a couple of pages easy to scan ...

Even though I purchased both of my current cars from the original owners, the cars came with full documentation, one even has the original window sales sticker. I'll go through all the stuff again, but honestly don't remember ever seeing a schematic for the radios. The coupe has a separate radio manual while the diesel has the radio operation stuff in the general owner's manual. Will post tonight after I have a chance to look.

Sorry...nothing. Just "this button does this" and "that button does that".

Not very much! You'd be surprised how little an exchange for a rebuilt 612 is at Becker. Contact them... the radio will work like new, and you can request the addition of a stealthy aux input.

I know they want a hundred bucks for the aux input. But, where does one mount that little input jack? Looks about the size of a normal Mercedes toggle switch with two tabs for screws. I'm about convinced to have them modify my radio, but am having a devil of a time figuring out where to secure that input block. Nowhere seems right.

On that aux input, how does it work? Website documentation is scarce. I'm assuming that you use a male pin plug to connect the output audio jack of your iPod or whatever to this little jack. Does it cut out the radio when something is plugged into that aux jack? All the normal radio controls work with a device plugged in?
