Crutchfield supplied harness connectors which fit perfectly. I did not find any elsewhere.

W210 (1995-2002)

completely redesigned model

My sister has a 4MATIC model, drives great especially in the snow
but I prefer the W124 chassis styling better

I have a 1995 E320 Wagon with the active bass sound system. I have upgraded the head unit and changed out the front speakers with a two way system. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the harness that plugs in to the amp that is located in the rear passenger side compartment near the windshield washer container. It would be very helpful so I don't have to dig into the dashboard to run wires.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Henry

NIce website, but for what ever reason they it does not have the wiring diagram for the radio in my car. No radio info at all for an E320 wagon. Snooped around and the wiring diagram is not listed for E series when they changed from 300E to E300. I think that was 1994. Will see if the one for 1991 makes sense.

Although they had mine listed and a couple options not all the color codes for the wires were there, but enough to make sense of it all.

Just see if you can find a MY close to yours then go from there.
Get a multimeter to test voltage or resistance to test the wires

1993 300D Becker 1432 to Blaupunkt Toronto 420BT

Background: I recently purchased a 1993 300D with a Becker 1432 with active base. The radio worked fine with good sound volume etc. However I really wanted front aux input and CD player and bluetooth. After doing A LOT of researching and reading on here and other forums I went to Beckerautosound where they have what are supposed to be "plug and play" upgrade headunits for a pretty penny. As a Christmas present I got a Blaupunkt Toronto 420BT with Beckerautosounds's custom wiring harness and wiring diagram.

Issue: I removed the Becker 1432 head unit and followed the diagram they sent to plug the existing wiring into their wiring harness adapter for the blaupunkt, and the secondary connections in the trunk to bypass the tuner/receiver. The problem i have is, i have almost no sound. the radio comes on, antenna goes up and down, even tunes in radio stations i couldn't get before, but i have to turn the volume all the way to max to even hear it faintly. I am hoping someone may have an idea of what i can check or do. I reinstalled the becker head unit and everything was back to normal so I am at a loss as to what is wrong.

I have been searching but can't seem to find anything remotely similar to my issue. I hope someone can help

I'm trying to post the wiring instructions they sent for more information

thanks in advance

Check the color of the wires going to the speaker then trace them to either the head unit (HU) or the amp. Get an extra set of wire or pair of speaker wire and connect alligator clips to the ends. Connect the leads to the output wires coming from the HU of the speakers you know work, then connect to whatever speakers you think are not working.

If you get power to the speakers then it's either the amp or output from the HU. If no power then you know the speakers are bad.

Nothing was wrong with it, still like new. Box and everything included. I see them online for twice that. But still you get all the bells and whistles for not a bad price. CD/MP3, USB, Pandora, HD radio, and BT.

Stereo wiring isn't rocket science. Once you get the color code it's a "no brainer".
Invest in a $10 multimeter just as a precaution for testing so you don't wire anything wrong.

If anyone is interested I'm parting out a 93 400e. I still have the speakers, sorry no stereo HU.

UPDATE Rear Speakers S O L D

Still have door speakers though

Turns out it was a defected Blaupunkt headunit. Becker Autosound sent me a replacement and it works perfectly.

Anyone ever seen a Becker head unit that is a pull out Stereo Cassette? I found one in a 1984 Euro 500SEL today and would like to know what model it is. I will pick it up tomorrow along with the Slide out case. I didn't read what model it was or the S/N, but have never seen a Becker Pull out head unit.
Looks like a regular Becker, but had the pull out handle on it and sure enough the back of the radio is set up for slide in/pull out connections. Neat old Radio.

Mystery solved. I went back and got the radio. It was an ordinary Becker Grand Prix, but had a pull out collar and handle and a "Security" box on the back that plugged into the rear of the Becker, then those wires entered a plug in the back of the Security box that plugs into the Slide out sleeve, the whole shebang was installed at Beverly Hills Motoring (MB of Beverly Hills). I left the radio, but snagged the collar, box and slider sleeve and cut the wires well back into the original loom to be able to re install it correctly. I will see if the Pioneer will fit the Sleeve, and if so then I have an extra collar and handle.
